Dental Group of Baltimore City proudly supports Smile for Service, a structured community initiative focused on providing dental care access to U.S. military veterans facing financial hardship or coverage gaps.
Through this program, eligible veterans may receive case-based dental support delivered through our participating clinics.
Why This Program Exists
While many veterans have earned benefits, access to dental care can still be limited due to:
- Gaps in eligibility
- Transition periods without coverage
- Financial hardship
- Long wait times
Smile for Service helps bridge that gap in a structured and responsible way.
How It Works
The process is simple and respectful:
- Veteran completes a confidential intake form
- Eligibility and service verification are reviewed
- Clinical evaluation and case classification
- Treatment is delivered based on clinical urgency and available program resources
Priority is determined by need and funding availability.
Who May Qualify
Smile for Service considers:
- Disabled veterans
- Uninsured or underinsured veterans
- Financial hardship cases
- Transitioning service members (case-based review)
Each case is reviewed individually.
